I wanted to add a medal of Our Lady of Guadalupe to Alex's birthday rosary because OLG is Alex's Lady. Alex has wonderful stories to tell about OLG, miraculous even. I thought it would be a special touch. I also found it appropriate that the medal is a scroll because both Alex and I both love to read and do research.
I also found this prayer to Our Lady of Guadalupe which I thought was timely to the world's situation and wanted to include it here in my blog.
"God of power and mercy, you blessed the Americas at Tepeyac with the presence of the Virgin Mary of Guadalupe. May her prayers help all men and women to accept each other as brothers and sisters. Through your justice present in our hearts, may your peace reign in the world. We ask this through our Lord Jesus Christ, your Son, who lives and reigns with you and the Holy Spirit, one God, for ever and ever. Amen.”
